The grounds surrounding the Capital building was one of the first things in Sacramento that I fell in love with. I was used to seeing Capital buildings surrounded by vast green lawns. Not here in Sacramento. Our Capital grounds are filled with amazing trees, shrubs, rose bushes, and squirrels. It is not unusual to see the park crowded with people on their quest for outdoor space. And on Saturdays, forget it, the park is filled with wedding parties on their quest for that perfect picture.
